Ride Control with General Altimax HP Tires

July 3rd 2011 -

A lot of drivers have heard that the General Altimax HP tire has a great ride to it on the open highway, but they might not know there is much more to this tire than that. What I found was that the Altimax HP also has solid handling and steering response that is not so easy to find on other similar tires in its class.

Taking corners at higher speeds is easy for this particular tire. The tread compound is stiff where it needs to be, yet still has a soft feel for a better ride. Steering response if far above what you might expect and it just adds much more confidence when you’re behind the wheel.

Traction on dry, or wet, pavement is very good as well. You will notice the resistance to hydroplaning when you’re driving on wet roads. That is a big safety issue as you well know. Even in deep snow the Altimax HP has the tread design to get you where you want to go. As all season performance radials go, this General Tire fits the bill nicely.
