- Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a two-day hiring event! If you would like to join the Sheriff’s Office, come ready to apply and interview. The hiring event begins on Friday, Jul. 8 and will last through Saturday, Jul. 9. Interested candidates can drop in between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. - The Douglasville Police Department is hosting a Town Hall meeting on Friday, Jun. 17, at 6:30 pm to go over what to do if you found yourself in an active shooter situation. The event will be held as an interactive discussion with the Douglasville Police Department, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Douglas County School System Police as they discuss agency protocols and responses.
