Hello again, friends! It’s me, Nicole Fallon-Peek, your host of the Daily. Keep reading to find out the most important things going on around town.

First, today’s weather:

Mostly sunny and warm. High: 90 Low: 62.

Here are the top five stories in Woodstock-Towne Lake today:

  1. Six Cherokee County School District graduates have earned $ 1,000 in ABM Industry Groups, LLC scholarships. The company provides custodial services for CCSD schools and awards a $ 1,000 scholarship to one senior high school student from each of CCSD’s traditional high schools. Camden Hinkelmann won the scholarship for Woodstock High. Congratulations, seniors! (Cherokee Tribune Ledger News)

  3. There’s been an update to the case involving almost 20 people who raced and laid donuts in Woodstock and Roswell on Easter Sunday. Investigators say these stunts aren’t spontaneous, they are carefully planned by all involved. “Doing their donuts, everyone gets out of their cars, they’re all videotaping, there’s smoke in the air, some of them are throwing fireworks, and the reasons they’re videotaping is to get this up on social media,” said Jay. Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. See more of the sheriff’s comments on the incidents at the link. (WSB-TV 2)
  4. Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon are performing a John Denver Tribute this Sunday, Jun. 26, at MadLife Stage & Studios. The show begins at 7 pm Instead of impersonation, Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon “seek to honor John Denver’s legacy with fresh energy and musical integrity in keeping his timeless music alive.” Get tickets at the link. (Eventbrite)
  5. The City of Woodstock has its Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council tonight at 7 pm Items on the agenda include the Transportation Plan Supplement for Downtown Woodstock and public hearings. The meeting will be held at the Chambers at City Center at 8534 Main Street. (Woodstock GA)
