One of the great things about living in modern times is the access we have to modern medicine. No longer will diseases like the black plaque or malaria wipe out large sections of the population. Modern cures and medicines have made many diseases that would have once killed us completely treatable and not that big a deal anymore. One of the biggest advances in medicine is the ability to treat patients quickly. Many times, most of the damage can be eliminated after serious events like heart attacks and strokes if emergency medical personnel can get to the patient quickly. In the modern medical world there are many emergency physician jobs that allow very quick treatment for people with serious problems that can minimize any long term effects they may have. Ambulances can get to victims quickly and the care an emergency medical technicians gives often make the difference between if the person injury will become a serious life long problem or not.
